GESS Mexico the educational meeting point
• 2,493 professionals from the local and international education community attended the 2nd edition of GESS Mexico. • Various industry figures participated in the successful academic program of 80 conferences. • Co-hosted and in partnership with the 7th edition of the Global Forum of Education and Innovation Virtual Educa, an initiative of the Organization of American States (OAS), inaugurated by the Ambassador of that institution in Mexico, Aníbal E. Quiñonez, and Cristina Cardenas, General Coordinator of México Aprende of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP).
Mexico, City, April 28th, 2016- 2,493 professionals from the local and international educational community attended the second edition of GESS Mexico (Global Educational Supplies & Solutions), held from 20 to 22 April at the Pepsi Center, World Trade Center in Mexico City.
The GESS conference hosted more than 80 conferences with the participation of 60 local and international educational experts who discussed and shared their knowledge in leadership, planning and policy; innovation in education; fundamental teaching skills, foreign languages, special education, technology and innovation, among others.
The exhibition presented over 100 global brands from, Germany, China, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Spain, United States, Portugal and United Kingdom, who offered innovative products and solutions from infrastructure to didactic resources and the latest technological advances.
Brian Gonzalez, Global Director of Intel Education, highlighted the importance of the forum as “a great opportunity for teachers to see and analyze the potential impact of technology in education”. Also, Gerardo Gonzalez, founding partner of SkillTech lamented that Mexico lacks technological diffusion events such as GESS Mexico which, “attracts a large number of education professionals from across Mexico and all over the world.” Gerardo Gonzalez added that GESS Mexico is vital “because it reaches the teachers freely and openly. They only need to come over to this exhibition, and then they can meet and access to all these innovations.”
Co-hosted and in partnership with GESS Mexico, was the 7th edition of the Global Forum of Education and Innovation Virtual Educa, an initiative of the Organization of American States (OAS). During the opening, OAS Ambassador in Mexico, Aníbal E. Quiñonez, said that in over the previous six years, Mexico has begun a process of educational development that has seen growth in the use of ICT, and whose achievements are reflected, “in figures indicating that the educational transformation is on the right way.”
Jose Navarro, CEO of E.J. Krause, said that “GESS Mexico is the leadeing event in the country designed to helping teaching staff to transmit knowledge and the meeting point of the leading experts in education”. Finally, it has been announced that the third edition of GESS Mexico is expected to take place from 26 to 28 April, 2017 at the Pepsi Center, World Trade Center, in Mexico City.
