UNETE is a nonprofit organization with over sixteen years of experience improving educational equity and quality in Mexico through the introduction of technology into the teaching-learning processes. Likewise, we believe the challenge of closing the gap of competitiveness between Mexico and more developed countries rests not only on the shoulder of the government, but on society as a whole, including the for-profit sector.
Over the course of the academic year, 2.3 million students (over 11% of the total population of public school students in Mexico) have access to one of our 7,200 UNETE-equipped and supported media centers.
Furthermore, we are the highest-ranking nonprofit organization in Mexico, as evaluated by Filantrofilia, an organization that assesses nonprofits for their institutional strength and impact. Their evaluation also concluded that for every peso invested in UNETE, over the next five years twenty-five pesos are generated in social benefit.
