Mexico City, October 26, 2016 - GESS Mexico (Global Educational Supplies & Solutions) and Virtual Educa, an initiative from the Organization of American States (OAS), strengthen their partnership for education for the second consecutive year and are presenting the Virtual Educa Regional Forum on Education and Innovation on April 26-28, 2017 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, as part of GESS Mexico 2017.
“Virtual Educa believes that its alliance with GESS is very beneficial, given that GESS Mexico brings state of the art education technology to a targeted audience in the region, along with models for best practices,” says José María Antón, Secretary General of Virtual Educa.
“The presence of international companies, and that of businesses and partners of Virtual Educa, allow visitors to discover the innovations that will have an impact on education.”
At the forthcoming GESS Mexico exhibition and conference, leading local and international education experts will gather to discuss how to best chart the future growth of Mexico’s education sector and the country as a whole. An example of this is the planned partnership with Virtual Educa in 2017, which will explore ways in which both the public and private sectors can use alternative educational solutions to facilitate innovation and educational policy within Mexico.
GESS Mexico 2017 is the leading education exhibition and conference in Mexico, bringing together the full sphere of education suppliers from around the world, as well as educationalists of all levels.
“GESS provides solutions to facilitate educational policies inspired by innovation,” says José Navarro, General Director of E.J. Krause de Mexico.
Mexico is seen as one of the leading investors in education across Latin America. The country is investing heavily in training and resources, with over 23 million students and 3 million teachers.
Now entering its 3rd edition, GESS Mexico has established itself as the leading educational event in Mexico, with more than 100 companies from over 17 countries presenting the latest in educational resources for the entire educational spectrum, from pre-school to university. The 3-day event also features an extensive conference programme and networking platform, to provide hands-on training to give educators practical teaching methods that they can put in place immediately in the classroom.
The Virtual Educa Forums have the objective of creating a space for reflection and analysis on education in the 21st century, focusing on innovation as a fundamental strategy to improve sustainable development and social transformation. Four sectors of society participate in the Forums, which help make social transformation possible through innovation in education: 1) multilateral/governmental, 2) academia, 3) corporate, and 4) civil society.
“This alliance strengthens the education sector; it will have an impact on the quality of education and learning in all the classrooms in this country and where all the involved educationalists can transform the future of education in Mexico as a fundamental driver of the country’s development,” says José Navarro.
“The 3rd Edition of GESS Mexico will be the region’s largest event for the education sector, and significant developments will come out of this,” Navarro added.
